Definition (Wikipedia)
"Sisu is a Finnish term loosely translated into English as strength of will, determination, perseverance, and acting rationally in the face of adversity. The literal meaning is equivalent in English to "having guts", and the word derives from sisus, which means something inner or interior. However, sisu is defined by a long-term element in it; it is not momentary courage, but the ability to sustain an action against the odds."

Choosing a Name
Our company has a long term vision and a long term commitment to our customers. We wanted our name to reflect that vision and commitment.
"Marc and I are both auto enthusiasts and watch only one television show: the British automotive program "Top Gear." In one of the episodes (shown above), the boys travel to Finland to find out why the Finns are such good racing drivers. They interview F1 World Champion Mika Häkkinen, reportedly "the only man Michael Schumacher said he ever feared." Their discussion of the word "sisu" was the inspiration for our company name.
Why "Devices?" Well, you tell us. What would you like to build? What would help automate your business? What medical or industrial device have you been thinking about? We want to help that become reality. Give us a call."
